AMI: Diplomacy, Culture and Solidarity from Monaco to Latin America

In the Principality of Monaco, where elegance becomes a language and diplomacy finds expression through art, the Association Monaco International (AMI) has built more than a network of cooperation—it has woven an emotional and cultural bridge between Europe and Latin America.
Founded in 2022, AMI embodies a new generation of cultural diplomacy — one that is close, sensitive, and profoundly human. Its mission transcends protocol to reach the very soul of cultures, connecting people, traditions, and values in a shared purpose: to foster understanding and solidarity through beauty and empathy.
From its inception, AMI set out to transform Monaco into a meeting point between civilizations. Inspired by the vision of a group of committed women, the association operates on the belief that culture is not only an expression of identity but also a tool for unity and social transformation.
“We wanted to create a real bridge between Monaco and Latin America, where culture, gastronomy, music, and fashion could become vehicles of dialogue and understanding,” explain the founders.
That spirit of connection defines every project carried out under the AMI banner.
The association stands out for its innovative approach and contemporary sensitivity. In a world often marked by division, AMI champions the diplomacy of emotion—the kind of diplomacy that arises when a melody, a dish, or a work of art speaks the universal language of respect and compassion.

A Vision that Unites Cultures and Hearts
The essence of AMI rests on three pillars: cultural diplomacy, educational exchange, and social commitment. Through its initiatives, the association works to strengthen ties between Monaco and Latin America, supporting projects that promote education, health, and social inclusion in vulnerable communities.
For AMI, culture is not a performance—it is a responsibility. Every event it organizes is designed as a transformative experience, one that inspires, educates, and generates tangible impact. Each initiative reflects the perfect harmony between Monaco’s sophistication and Latin America’s human warmth, creating a synergy that awakens admiration and empathy in equal measure.
The Principality of Monaco provides the perfect stage for such encounters. With its international outlook and reputation for excellence, Monaco becomes the starting point for a dialogue that transcends continents—a reminder that true diplomacy is built on gestures, sensitivity, and purpose.

The Diplomatic Gastronomy Dinner: When Culture Becomes a Universal Language
Among AMI’s most emblematic initiatives is the Diplomatic Gastronomy Dinner, an annual event that masterfully blends art, haute cuisine, and solidarity. Held at the prestigious Yacht Club de Monaco, this event is far more than a gala—it is a celebration of understanding among nations through the senses.
Each edition pays tribute to a Latin American country, exploring its cultural heritage from an aesthetic and emotional perspective. The most recent edition honored Peru, a country of ancient traditions and rich heritage, whose gastronomy is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
“Our inspiration came from the desire to highlight Peru’s millennial richness and to strengthen ties between Monaco and Latin America through a living, accessible form of cultural diplomacy,” explain the President and Vice President of AMI.
The gala was meticulously designed to combine Peruvian flavors with music, dance, and fashion, creating an atmosphere where art became a form of dialogue. It was not merely an evening of prestige, but a sensory journey inviting guests to discover a culture from the heart.

The Diplomacy of the Senses
The Diplomatic Gastronomy Dinner has become a gathering where culinary excellence and artistic creativity merge to celebrate Latin America’s diversity. Renowned chefs, artists, designers, and musicians collaborated to offer an unforgettable experience in which every detail—from the dishes to the decor—told a story.
Beyond flavor, gastronomy became a universal language, capable of communicating emotion and connecting cultures. As the organizers expressed:
“We conceived the evening as a complete sensory journey. Gastronomy served as the thread that wove everything together, while dance, music, and fashion added the notes that completed the harmony.”

Solidarity: The Heart of AMI
Beyond its cultural dimension, AMI’s work has a deeply humanitarian soul. Each gala has a clear purpose — to raise funds for social projects in Latin America, particularly those supporting children in vulnerable situations.
Thanks to the generosity of its supporters, AMI has already contributed to initiatives in Peru, the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Ecuador, Honduras, and Colombia, financing educational and healthcare programs.
“Each edition transforms the beauty and prestige of Monaco into an instrument of hope,” affirm the founders. “We want to show that luxury can serve a human purpose, and that true elegance lies in sharing and helping.”
EXCLUSIVE DIALOGUE WITH THE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT OF AMI
The Diplomatic Gastronomy Dinner represents a bridge between nations, connecting Monaco and Latin America through culture and gastronomy.
It is a way of practicing diplomacy that highlights the richness of the honored country and strengthens institutional ties in a setting of excellence and prestige, such as the Yacht Club de Monaco.
Gastronomy served as the main thread of the evening, accompanied by dance, music, and fashion, offering a complete sensory experience. This integration not only presented unique flavors but also told a cultural story, fostering exchange among chefs, artists, and an international audience.
Beyond cultural celebration, the gala pursues a humanitarian purpose: to raise funds for projects in Latin America, particularly for vulnerable children. Each edition turns the beauty and prestige of Monaco into a tool of solidarity, bringing hope and support to those who need it most.

EXCLUSIVE DIALOGUE
What inspired the choice of Peru as the country of honor for this year’s Diplomatic Gastronomy Gala?
Our inspiration was born from the desire to highlight the millennial richness of Peru, a country whose gastronomy is recognized worldwide as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This choice also reflects our wish to strengthen ties between Monaco and Latin America through a living, accessible form of cultural diplomacy.
How would you evaluate the response from Monegasque institutions and the diplomatic corps to this event?
The response was extremely positive. Both the Monegasque institutions and the diplomatic corps showed great interest and enthusiasm. Their presence and support confirm the importance of gastronomy as a vector of intercultural and diplomatic dialogue.
We had the honor of working hand in hand with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Education of Monaco, as well as with the Lycée Rainier III, which made it possible to carry out a valuable gastronomic and educational exchange with students from Le Cordon Bleu Monaco. This collaboration enriched the event and strengthened its cultural and educational impact.
The gala had a very rich cultural dimension: gastronomy, dance, fashion… How did you manage to bring all these elements together in one event?
We conceived the evening as a complete sensory journey. Gastronomy served as the connecting thread, while dance, music, and fashion added complementary touches to showcase Peru’s diversity and creativity. Thanks to collaborative work with artists, chefs, and partner institutions, we were able to create this harmony.
Beyond the cultural celebration, the gala also has a charitable goal. What specific projects will AMI support with the funds raised this year?
The funds will go to our humanitarian projects in favor of disadvantaged children in Latin America. This year, we will focus our efforts on education and health programs, to provide sustainable support to the most vulnerable communities.
Peru, the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Ecuador, Honduras, and Colombia are the countries we have helped so far.
AMI was founded in 2022 and has already gained great visibility. What is your medium- and long-term vision for the association?
Our vision is to make AMI a true bridge between Monaco and Latin America, through cultural, diplomatic, and humanitarian events. In the medium term, we aim to strengthen our institutional partnerships and expand our network of members. In the long term, our ambition is to position Monaco as an international meeting platform between Europe and Latin America.

Gastronomy was at the heart of the evening — not only as a culinary experience but also as a universal language that unites cultures.
Art, music, and fashion enriched this experience by offering a complete panorama of Latin American creativity. This exchange allowed guests to experience an authentic cultural immersion and to open a deeper intercultural dialogue.
The impact extends far beyond the event itself. The gala helps raise international awareness of the social realities of Latin America. Thanks to the funds raised, AMI will be able to finance concrete actions in education, health, and social inclusion.
Each edition represents an opportunity to combine the elegance of Monaco with genuine solidarity toward those who need it most.
