The Central Bank of Morocco celebrates International Women’s Day with a painting workshop dedicated to creativity and culture
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Central Bank of Morocco organized a painting workshop for women in the Tangier region, highlighting the importance of creativity and culture as essential drivers for women’s empowerment.
This event brought together around 40 women from different professional sectors, who shared a valuable moment of artistic expression and cultural exchange. This gathering not only fostered individual creativity but also encouraged intercultural dialogue among women from diverse backgrounds.
As part of this celebration, the Central Bank of Morocco paid special tribute to Mrs. Soumaya Akbib, President of the Art & Culture Without Borders (ACWB) Foundation based in Madrid. Mr. Ali Benali, Director of the Central Bank in Tangier, personally presented Mrs. Akbib with a recognition award for her remarkable career and her unwavering commitment to promoting culture and intercultural dialogue between Morocco and Europe.
Soumaya Akbib is a prominent figure in the international cultural scene. Through the ACWB Foundation, she has successfully built cultural bridges between Spain, Morocco, and several countries in the Arab world, organizing exhibitions, cultural meetings, artistic forums, and solidarity projects. Her dedication to empowering female talents and her strong belief that culture serves as a tool for bringing nations closer together have earned her numerous awards, making her a recognized reference in cultural diplomacy.
